Happy 1st Birthday little bit!

It's so hard to believe that Megan is already 1 year old. She is doing more and more everyday.

Friday... on her real birthday... Kevin and I took Megan to the toy store to pick out her first present. She was so excited to see all of the cool toys. If you know our little Megan... her whole face lights up with a smile... and its tough not putting them all in the cart. We searched for the right presents... and put about 4 other gifts in... before replacing them with this one. Thank goodness we did... cause all the other gifts were given to her at her party. Popular picks!

Megan was very blessed today. She is a sweet... happy baby because of all the great people in her life. Thank you to everyone for being so good to our little one... and for helping us remember the awesome time in her life. We love you all.

(It's Sunday morning now... and as I'm typing... Megan is going back and forth between all of her toys. She is having a ball. I wish I could understand what she is saying... she has the biggest smile on her face. I have to admit... her toys are pretty cool.)
(So are all of her pretty clothes.)

This was Mommy and Daddy's present... we hope you have lots of fun with it Megan!

We tried to keep Megan up as long as possible before this mornings nap. We wanted her to sleep as long as she could before all of her guests arrived. As you can see... she made it tough... she kept trying to snuggle... "please can I go and nap already?" We caved at 9:30.

It's tough to beat good hound dog!

Okay... We're ready for a little girl birthday party!

Nana and B-pa were so excited to see this little birthday girl! They went and picked up all of her balloons. She had a blast bouncing them. "Lets get this party started!"

"pretty in purple"

The Drummond family passed down the coolest clifford slide! She'll get the hang of it sooner than later. She loves playing outside. I think this was her first time ever down a slide.

Bubbles Bubbles Everywhere!
They were a hit! The girls ran around the yard chasing them. Thank goodness... technology saved us from all the manual work... the typhoon machine worked like a charm!

It was a perfect day for a party!

We love hanging out with friends and family in the back yard.
(Sorry you had to work uncle Gregg... we missed you!)

Hard to believe its been a year!

It's the Drummond monkey show!
Thanks for coming Allison and Kate!

Gammie got some snuggle time with her grandson Samuel.

"hey little man... you are getting so big!"

Anybody up for some cake?

Your little cake was perfect... that is... until you smashed it in your eyes... ouch!

so... you really can get too much of a good thing!

"So... is it our turn yet?"

Yummy! 2 scoops or 1?

Hey Brendy's! Nice spot you got there. Time to open up presents!

Little girl stuff everywhere!

"Let's open this one up Daddy!"

Her Little Mermaid car was a big hit! Thanks Kyle and Jessica!

She looked so big playing with her toys. I got a kick out of watching her... but a little part of me was sad to see her growing up. That little smile of hers is priceless. She really seemed happy all day!

She wants to walk so bad... I'm sure it will happen soon enough.
She's tough enough to catch when she's crawling.
We love you baby girl!

Aunt Shell and Aunt Steph caught a hug too!
"Thanks for all my cool presents!"

Kisses from Great-Grandma Parrish!

She loves all her little Grand-babies... sweet as can be.

Here are a couple videos of Megan enjoying her toys! She packed in a lot of fun for a rookie birthday girl. Daddy and I will never forget how sweet you were today. We're so grateful to have you as our little girl!

Softball is fun for all ages!

One of those perfect moments!
"teach me Daddy!"

Megan jumped right in! Her play space just got bigger!

First annual softball fund-raiser! Lets hope we don't get creamed!

It was the perfect morning for the softball tourny. The weather was beautiful... but the final score wasn't. Our team was pretty excited to have scored so much... we were even ahead several times. Win or lose... it was fun to watch!

"look who's in the dug out!"

"Our large Harvest softball fan club!" ...half of which were babies.

Even little Samuel made it out!

Hey there Chris and Renae!

Hey Jen... are you kissing... or whispering?

Jimmy and Katie brought little slugger... aka baby Isaac along for the game too. He loved it outside! He even took a great nap in his little outdoor tent. (Little Even didn't do as good on the nap today... but I gotta hand it to him... he's always smiling!) Megan loves her two little play buddies.

SCORE!
Preacher man scored a home run!
I think Charlie would take back the home run hit... if he could just take back having to run all the bases.

Searby's first softball game!... running into home!

Sunday practice... one week earlier.
Only one practice needed before the big game... for these professionals!

Suwannee River Camping Rain-out!

Time for a camping trip!... Too bad it was an 80% chance of rain.
We were optimistic enough to give it a shot.
Rain or shine... and it did both...
we were gonna have fun... and we did!

It turned out to be a nice campsite. We had never been to this State Park before. It was tough finding a campsite anywhere. They were all booked up. The mosquitoes were bad enough to carry us away... but we managed just fine.

"Anybody up for a hike?"

The water was beautiful!

"It was so much fun getting some fresh air...
that is...
until 2 min. after this photo
when we were greeted by a coral snake.
I hate snakes... especially poisonous ones.

Time for some games! I kept my feet up off the ground just in case more snakes decided to visit. Kev enjoyed our only campfire... and burning everything in site. Megan went to sleep pretty good. The camper was close quarters... but turned out to be just the right size. She didn't seem to be bothered by us.

The water was really peaceful...
even if we had to share it with a few hundred blood sucking mosquitoes.

The trail was a little bumpy... daddy tried to pull her stroller over the big roots... and scared her. Big tears... until he picked her up... its a lot more fun in daddy's arms!
"Bounce me again Daddy"

We look forward to lots of camping with this little one. It was a quick walk... but nice getting out.

Megan had the real camp setup. She had a ball with all of her toys... inside and out.

She wins the cutest camper award!

The rain forecast was most definitely right. It rained... and rained... Kev couldn't light a fire... so the burgers were cooked on the small gas grill. He had to squat on the bench... our nice setup got flooded! What a mess. We had to laugh.

Yummy! The burgers were awesome.
All in all... the weekend was perfect... we got to relax.
We got everything we could out of a wet weekend in the woods.

"Yup, it's still raining!"

It's never too early to learn how to play Yahtzee!
