It's been a really fun month

Megan has been doing so many new things. It's been so much fun watching her. Tonight she got a little out of control with the spaghetti... she loved it. Needless to say her Daddy had to give her a bath after this dinner. The month has been rough... with me being sick for almost two weeks. We did have a lot of fun highlights. Janeen's wedding was really nice... see the wedding post. Mother's day was special... but it was the evening I got sick for the second time. Megan was an angel throughout the sicko phase... Daddy was a huge help too. Everybody had to pitch in. Special thanks to Kevin, Gammie, Nana, Aunt Steph, Linda... and lots more. Megan's biggest news... is her "letting go". She is now up to 9 steps. We hope you enjoy our snapshots... she is so much fun!

Look who has a big girl seat! She seems to like facing forward.

Megan loves playing with her buddy Evan. Little Isaac came over too... but he is still too little to play. Megan actually tried to drive her little mermaid car over the top of him a few times. Oops!

They shared some cheerios for a snack... Evan snatched a handful of hers when she wasn't looking. She thought it was funny.

"Daddy... where are you?" We've been blocking Megan in the living room... I think it's so funny to watch her peeking around the corner. She is always trying to escape!

It's safe to say... she loves her toys! What a goofball!

I couldn't resist taking this one... she was really mad when she got stuck. The good news is... she hasn't tried to get out that way again!

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a lot of fun watching Megan play with cousin Olivia like a big girl. They were actually sharing pretty well. That's Megan's new thing... she likes to hand you everything!

We are looking forward to a nice beach weekend. It will be nice to get away.

"Baby Steps"

Megan is finally letting go...
Monday night was her first trip across the living room. She gets pretty proud of herself! Today... she took 7 steps... it won't be long before she's really walking around.

Janeen's big day is finally here! It's hard to believe that lifelong friends... aka the Brendy's... are having another wedding! Now they have both beautiful girls married off. It was an honor to be able to help pull this big event off. Everything was perfect.

The florist did an awesome job. All of the flowers turned out beautiful.

Janeen went with a garden theme for her wedding. We brought in all live trees from a near by nursery. It was really enchanting. The 15 ft. maple trees topped it all off.

Each of the girls carried different flowers.

Taylor called dibs on the tulips first!

Renae's bouquet was a mini version of Janeen's.

It seems like I was just taking this same picture... but Renae was the bride. Time flies! I remember Renae's wedding like it was yesterday.

The Birkett's and my family were there to celebrate too.

Olivia was a trip all night. She loved dancing... and with everybody! She picked up some moves!

Gregg enjoyed the vittles... the food turned out really good!

Happy 1st Birthday little bit!

It's so hard to believe that Megan is already 1 year old. She is doing more and more everyday.

Friday... on her real birthday... Kevin and I took Megan to the toy store to pick out her first present. She was so excited to see all of the cool toys. If you know our little Megan... her whole face lights up with a smile... and its tough not putting them all in the cart. We searched for the right presents... and put about 4 other gifts in... before replacing them with this one. Thank goodness we did... cause all the other gifts were given to her at her party. Megan was very blessed today. She is a sweet... happy baby because of all the great people in her life. Thank you to everyone for being so good to our little one... and for helping us remember the awesome time in her life. We love you all.

(It's Sunday morning now... and as I'm typing... Megan is going back and forth between all of her toys. She is having a ball. I wish I could understand what she is saying... she has the biggest smile on her face. I have to admit... her toys are pretty cool.)

We tried to keep Megan up as long as possible before this mornings nap. We wanted her to sleep as long as she could before all of her guests arrived. As you can see... she made it tough... she kept trying to snuggle... "please can I go and nap already?" We caved at 9:30.

Nana and B-pa were so excited to see this little birthday girl! They went and picked up all of her balloons. She had a blast bouncing them. "Lets get this party started!"

The Drummond family passed down the coolest clifford slide! She'll get the hang of it sooner than later. She loves playing outside. I think this was her first time ever down a slide.

They were a hit! The girls ran around the yard chasing them. Thank goodness... technology saved us from all the manual work... the typhoon machine worked like a charm!
