"Life after the hospital"

Daddy's week at home with us was SOOOO much fun... and not to mention... very helpful! Kev spent so much time with Megan... and loved every minute of it! We tried hard to include her in "being a BIG help" with baby brother. She was pretending to be a baby animal on daddy's back.

Great-Grandma Parrish came over to meet her new great-grandson. She loves tiny little babies!

Yeah... Aunt Steph finally came home to meet baby Jake. She was in Italy when he was born... so didn't know he was born for several days.
She came right over to meet her newest nephew.

This is my favorite part... watching him sleep. He LOVES to sleep!
Cozy on his belly...

... cozy in his swing...

... and especially cozy on his boppy! This is his favorite place to chill out! I think he likes being elevated!

Week 2... Daddy's home from work!

He smile so much for a newborn! I get a kick out of watching his facial expressions while he sleeps! He is so much fun!!!! I'm really having a good time with him.

... watchin' tv with Daddy!

...snuggling with Mommy at my 2 week Dr.'s appt.
8lbs 2oz

Megan has been such a good big sis. Taylor is coming over during the day to help out with the kiddos. I'm so glad Megan has somebody to play with! They played in the pool this morning... and Megan had to put her baby in to swim too. We've been trying to make her feel just as loved and played with as before. She's doing great with all these changes!

This is what Jacob was up to while Megan was out in the pool. Not a bad way to spend your morning! He looks a lot more rested than his Mommy! Now that looks cozy!

Megan wanted to strap on the baby bjorn to carry her baby in. We took a walk to the mail box yesterday... and I carried baby Jacob in it... so she had to try it out too. She walked her baby all the way to the road and back... what a cutie!

"I-a- hold baby brother"... we tried to help... but she wanted to do it all by herself! She was very gentle!!!! Thank goodness! He was lovin' it too. He usually cries when she tries... but he just sat there and snuggled in with his big sis!

She was giving lots of hugs and kisses! Man... its tough to believe how big she is getting.

COZY... you can't beat this... She loves being a big sis!
It's been a really great 2 weeks. This weekend we are headed over to the beach for Jacob's first beach trip. We're looking forward to it!
